Welcome to The City of Rochester Swimming & Lifeguard Club

Learn to swim, compete or just swim to keep fit; whatever you want to do, you can do it here at the City of Rochester Swimming & Lifeguard Club.

We offer a relaxed, friendly and sociable environment for members of all ages to swim, learn to swim and even train to become a lifeguard.

Whether you are five years old and nervous about getting in the water or 60, our swimming club is the place for you.

We offer a range of courses and training sessions that are designed to suit any skill level or need and you will be able to train and learn as much or as little as you want.

We even provide training and coaching for members interested in becoming lifeguards. Our well-defined and regular training programmes are overseen by experienced and dedicated coaches and many of our members have competed nationally.

We were established in 1948, when the officials of the Medway Swimming Club and the Rochester Swimming Club got together and amalgamated both into just one club.

Since then we have had many members compete in local, regional and even national swimming competitions. Of course, if you just want to swim in a comfortable and relaxed environment you can do that too!

Generally, we try and encourage all our members to develop and enter competitions but we do have many members who just like to come down to our club and swim for fun or to keep fit.
